Neighbourhood Plan
Presenting the council's neighbourhood plan status and documents.
The Clyst Honiton Neighbourhood Plan and Neighbourhood Development Order have been prepared alongside each other for several years. Following the public consultations in the summer of 2023 (Regulation 14 for the NP, Regulation 21 for the NDO), it was decided to complete and submit the Neighbourhood Plan in advance of the NDO which still needs work to be done before it can proceed.

Referendum Success
The Clyst Honiton Neighbourhood Plan has been agreed by the community with a 85% voting for it at the Referendum held on 23rd January 2025
This means that you, the residents of Clyst Honiton Parish, have agreed that the Plan policies should be used to determine planning applications for the future.
Clyst Honiton Parish Council and its Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group wish to thank all of those who have helped along the road by attending consultation events, providing helpful observations and for voting at the Referendum.
The plan is there for us to use to help influence the future development of the parish.

CLYST HONITON NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT ORDER (NDO)
The NDO involves a large number of organisations which are all trying to pull together to deliver a community building for Clyst Honiton, as defined in NP Policy C2. When considering the responses to the Reg. 21 consultation, which was supported by all individual responders, it became apparent that further liaison with the organisations involved was necessary. Rather than delay the submission of the NP further, it was decided to push on with that and work on the NDO in the meantime.
For this reason, the latest version of the NDO is that circulated at the Reg. 21 stage of the NDO process, which can be accessed below.
